Grant Associates showcases 20 years of collaborative design work

Grant Associates, Thomas Matthews and Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios are staging a joint exhibition in London to showcase 20 years of collaborative design work. Collaborative by Nature will open at architect FCB Studios’ office in Fitzrovia on 4 June 2018 featuring work by all three studios, which share a common belief in collaboration, sustainability and a passion for the natural environment.

A significant mixed-use urban regeneration scheme designed by Bogle Architects and Grant Associates for Portugal’s coastal city of Porto has been awarded a Commendation at the 2018 MIPIM/The Architectural Review: Future Projects Awards.

Green light for residential-led regeneration scheme at Icknield Port Loop, Birmingham

Birmingham City Council has approved plans for the first phase of a major residential regeneration scheme at Icknield Port Loop, Birmingham. Working closely with Glenn Howells Architects, Maccreanor Lavington Architects and ShedKM, Grant Associates has created a detailed landscape masterplan that will see 207 family homes and 90 apartments built, along with green infrastructure including a new public park, public open spaces, communal gardens and canal-side public realm.

West Country designers team up with Bristol Zoo to save Madagascar's lemurs

Landscape architect Grant Associates has teamed up with Bristol Zoological Society (BZS) and fellow Bath based architect Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios (FCBStudios) in a project to save Madagascar’s critically endangered wildlife, including the blue-eyed black lemur, and their forest habitat.

Supertrees feature in global expo about urban nature

Grant Associates’ designs for the Supertree Grove of Singapore’s internationally acclaimed Gardens by the Bay are to feature at the Expo for Design, Innovation & Technology (EDIT) in Toronto, Canada. The Supertrees will appear in ‘The Green and the Gray’, an interactive exhibition curated by international design studio Carlo Ratti Associati, 28 September to 8 October 2017.

SOM masterplan for Colombo, Sri Lanka features designs by Grant Associates

Architect Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) has won an international competition to design a new finance and marina district for Sri Lanka’s largest city Colombo with a masterplan created in collaboration with Grant Associates. The scheme will see the transformation of 269 hectares of reclaimed land next to Colombo's Central Business District (CBD), creating a landmark destination for commerce, tourism, and culture in South Asia.
