Grant Associates, the UK landscape architects behind Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, has been appointed by the Royal Botanics and Domain Trust in Sydney to help develop a new sustainable masterplan for the historic Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney and adjacent public Domain.

Award winning design team to create London's most 'liveable neighbourhood'

Westminster City Council has commissioned Grant Associates, UK landscape architects, and Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, urban designers and architects, as part of a multidisciplinary team to devise a twenty-year infrastructure and public realm plan for Church Street, London, to support the council’s housing renewal strategy. Residents have just voted in favour of proceeding with the first phase of regeneration plans for Church Street in a ward-wide referendum.

Grant Associates hired by international school in Switzerland

GEMS Education, the largest operator of private schools in the world, has appointed Swiss architects CCHE Architecture et Design SA and UK landscape architects, Grant Associates, to design a new World Academy in Etoy, Switzerland. The international school is due to open in September 2013.

Harton Quays Park, South Shields, achieves CEEQUAL status

Harton Quays Park, the £2.3 million waterfront park in South Shields designed by landscape architects Grant Associates for South Tyneside Council, has been awarded a specialist CEEQUAL Client & Design Award for excellence in sustainability.

Grant Associates wins two Design For Asia Awards 2012

Hong Kong Design Centre's "Design for Asia Award 2012" has recognised Gardens by the Bay, masterplanned by UK-landscape architects Grant Associates, with a Grand Award and Special Award for Technology. The Awards were presented to Andrew Grant, Grant Associates at the DFA Awards ceremony at the Hong Kong Design Center on Thursday 6 December 2012 during the Business of Design Week.

Andrew Grant awarded Royal Designer for Industry

Andrew Grant, founder and director of Bath-based Grant Associates, is to be recognised for his pioneering global work in sustainable and ecological landscape architecture by becoming a Royal Designer for Industry (RDI). Grant is one of twelve new Royal Designers for Industry to be recognised for their outstanding contribution to design and society at an award ceremony to be held at the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) in London on Wednesday 14 November 2012.

Grant Associates celebrates Gardens by the Bay Success

Singapore's Gardens by the Bay, the dramatic leisure destination designed by UK landscape architects Grant Associates, has welcomed over one million visitors in its first two months including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Now the scheme has been shortlisted for two World Architecture Festival (WAF) Awards, which is to be staged in Singapore for the first time next month (3-5 October 2012).

The first phase of Singapore’s dramatic Gardens by the Bay project opened to the public on 29th June 2012 following completion of the 54-hectare £500m Bay South Garden by a world-class British design team led by Bath-based landscape architects, Grant Associates.
